San Jose Vietnam War Memorial

monument-5dayslater.jpg

The San José “Vietnam War” Memorial Foundation, Inc. erected this Memorial in remembrance of the 142 “Sons of San José”. These heroes gave the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America. We wanted the City of San José and its constituents to have a quiet place to remember and reflect on the memories of their loved ones and to give their families closure.  For others, it is a place to pay their respects and gratitude.

There is an annual Remembrance Ceremony held on March 30th in front of the monument to honor these Heroes.  All 142 names are read aloud and the event is free and open to the public.
