SoFA District

The SoFA District (So. First Area) is an arts, cultural, and entertainment district in the very heart of Downtown San Jose. Located directly behind the San Jose Convention Center, it is the perfect place to unwind after a day of meetings and conferences. Duck into a quaint coffee shop with lively poetry readings or enjoy a cold brew at one of several craft breweries along the way; then browse one of the many art galleries within walking distance in the District.

As you meander, don't miss your Instagram moment at one of the many original murals that cover the buildings in the district. SoFA also boasts a lively bar scene and cutting-edge theaters so stay (almost) all night for nightlife and entertainment. You may even happen upon one of the many festivals held in SoFA, such as South First Fridays Art Walk, the SubZERO Festival, summer Street Mrkts and SoFA Street Fairs.
