Excite Ballpark

Historic Excite Ballpark was built in 1942 as a Works Progress Administration project and has been delighting fans ever since. It has been home to several professional baseball teams including the San Jose Owls, San Jose Red Sox, San Jose Jo Sox, San Jose Pirates, San Jose Missions, San Jose Expos, San Jose Bees and San Jose Giants. Throughout the 75+ years of the ballpark's existence, nearly 8 million fans have entered through its gates. Since 1988, the ballpark has played home to the Class A-Advanced Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, the San Jose Giants.
