Historic Hoover Theatre

Historic Hoover Theatre in San Jose's Rose Garden neighborhood

Located in the heart of San Jose’s beautiful Rose Garden neighborhood, the newly renovated Historic Hoover Theatre serves as the artistic jewel in the crown of this strong neighborhood community, across the street from the notable Rosicrucian Museum. The theatre occupies a portion of the Old Hoover Middle School campus, which was built in 1931 and designed by renowned architect William H. Weeks, who also designed San Jose landmarks St. Claire (now Westin) Hotel and De Anza Hotel, as well as the Heritage Theatre in Campbell. The Old Hoover School was designated as a city landmark in 1995 and after a $6 million renovation, the Historic Hoover Theatre was officially inaugurated on May 21, 2004.
