As the state's oldest park, Big Basin Redwoods is a stunning setting that attracts visitors throughout the year. The majestic redwood forests are some of the state's most incredible natural attractions. These ancient coastal redwoods demonstrate the longevity this species of trees enjoys. Visitors to the park also find the change in climate extraordinary from one area of the park to the next as fog affects the areas near the coast. There are lots of hikes that are appropriate for every level of fitness. Keep your eye out for wildlife as you explore this enchanting terrain.

Spring Hours at Park Headquarters:
8am to 7pm - Everyday  

Day Use Hours:
6am to Sunset everyday
