Event Services Manager

This individual will assist the Event Services Department with event needs and serve as a direct contact for clients. Events include trade shows, conferences, expos, conventions, corporate meetings, fundraisers, consumer shows, performing arts, art shows and exhibits.
Culinary Manager, Procurement

As a Culinary Manager, Procurement, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of all culinary-related products and services for our business. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and are delivered on time. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures. This role includes supervising the development and procurement of all elements of our expanding service operations for catered and retail events. The Culinary Manager, Procurement will report directly to the Executive Chef.
Director of Sales

The Director of Sales and Destination Services will direct, motivate and lead the sales managers and assist in managing Destination Services. This highly experienced Director of Sales & Destination Services should have large convention hotel sales and a strong leadership background. Team San Jose is seeking an individual with previous convention center and/or Destination Marketing experience. The right individual will need to be organized, proactive and transparent. A self-starter with positive energy, excellent communication skills and a proven record of exceeding goals will be the best qualified candidate.
Excellent leadership qualities as a coach and mentor will be required. An ability to bring discipline to the sales process through systems, planning and accountability will be key factors to success. The ability to handle pressure from inside and outside the organization is essential, as is the ability to handle confidential information and issues.
The Director of Sales & Destination Services will represent Team San Jose and the San Jose Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit San Jose) and work in cooperation will all community stakeholders to maintain a healthy working relationship in this public-private partnership.
