Ado, a 22-year-old Utaite, a Japanese term for someone covering Vocaloid songs with their real voice, became a mainstream name via her 2020 major label debut “Usseewa.”The song topped multiple charts in the country, garnered millions of YouTube views and cemented itself as a defining number of the early 2020s. Her highly anticipated first album, Kyougen(2022), also went on to debut at #1 on multiple domestic charts and became a long-running hit.
